This selection of work spans several time periods and various media. I have used conventional media-based categories to organize each collection, however, this arrangement undermines the true nature of my creative process. “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens”. The truth is that it is a challenge to define where one work ends and another one begins. With so much choice available in my supply kit, who could fault me for wanting to pick up Posca markers in one season or turn to the plethora of tools available in Procreate in another? Some overlapping themes that seem to creep into my work include a sense of nostalgia in relation to place and the hopeless pursuit of freezing time. Although photography seems to be the closest I can get to achieving this in reality, drawing and painting are equally conducive for creating trail markers along this worn path.
